UserLock Frequently Asked Questions

Is MFA compatible with MAC OS?

Since version 12.0, UserLock no longer supports MacOS. The desktop agent for Mac has been deprecated. For versions older than 12.0 the Mac agent can still be used to audit and enforce restrictions, except for the MFA.

However, if a client machine with a MacOS connects remotely to a machine operating a Windows OS, and this remote machine has a UserLock agent installed, this session can be fully protected by UserLock restrictions and MFA. There is no need to have an agent installed on a client machine to protect an RDP session.
