Technical Sales Engineer

Job Description

Based in our Biarritz HQ office, the Technical Sales Engineer role will provide technical guidance to our prospects, customers, partners and influencers across the globe.

This role requires a balance of technical and sales aptitude.

Working closely with our Inside Sales Team and Global Partners, this position educates on the proper use and advantages of IS Decisions solutions to help secure commitments of approval, ensure successful product implementations and resolve product issues as they arise.


  • Contributes to sales team effort to ensure timely and successful closing of sales to potential customers by delivering technical presentations, demonstrations and webinars, assisting with technical questions, supporting proof-of-concept and software evaluation efforts and developing training tools.
  • Trains, documents and mentors team members on IS Decisions products as well as related technologies to ensure the sales team have the necessary technical knowledge that helps best position IS Decisions solutions to customers.
  • Becomes a main point of contact for clients' technical issues.
  • Works closely with product management and engineering to develop technical documentation on products deployment and implementation, knowledge base articles, product demonstration scripts and scenarios.
  • Works closely with product marketing to assist with the definition and creation of technical content that will support go-to-market efforts.
  • Contributes to the assessment of competitive offerings.

Desired Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

  • Strong technical background, background in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with enterprise technology solutions
  • Track record of effectively working with sales teams
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of Windows Server and Windows Client operating systems and native administration tools
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy

  • Self-motivated and a self-starter who is always looking to improve
  • Excellent technical presentation skills and strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to respond promptly to customer needs, solicit customer feedback to improve service, respond to requests for service and assistance and supports everyone's efforts to succeed.
